Hi Peter,

I used this solution below and my MBP back to login in my Lync server:

Solution: In the Lync for Mac sign-in window, check your user ID and password for typos. If you’re using Office 365, use the same user ID and password that you use to sign in to Office 365, for example, aprilr@contoso.onmicrosoft.com. Passwords are case-sensitive. Cause: The firewall that is built into Mac OS X is blocking Lync. Mar 14, 2017 In the Microsoft Lync for Mac 2011 Update volume window, double-click the Lync for Mac 2011 Update application to start the update process, and then follow the instructions on the screen. If the installation finishes successfully, you can remove the update installer from your hard disk. Mar 14, 2017  In the Microsoft Lync for Mac 2011 Update volume window, double-click the Lync for Mac 2011 Update application to start the update process, and then follow the instructions on the screen. If the installation finishes successfully, you can remove the update installer from your hard disk. Apr 02, 2020  I will typically click the 'Join Skype Meeting' which will launch a Safari page asking me to join the meeting though the Lync Web App. I will click Join the Meeting, and will download the plug in, however nothing happens (it appears that the plug in isn't recognized or something). Ive tried this multiple times, with no effect.

This Fixed My issue, I make sure you always allow the trust in the last step.

To resolve the 'Sign in to Microsoft Lync failed because the service is not available or you may not be connected to the Internet.' you need to reimport your Lync server certificate.

Ask your system administrator of the Lync server to export the server certificate and provide to you:

- Log into Lync server

- Open MMC > Add/Remove Snap-in > Select Certificates > Click Add > Select Computer account > Click Next > Local computer > Finish > OK

- Expand Certificates > Personal > Certificates

- Click on the certificate with the fully qualified domain name (i.e. Lyncserver.xyz.com) with the intended purpose 'Server Authentication'

- Right click > All Tasks > Export > Next > No, do not export the private key > Select Base-64 encoded X.509 (.CER) > Next > Give it a name (fully qualified domain name) > Next > Finish

Once provided with the .cer file, exit Lync on your Mac, double click the .cer file to import it into your keychain. Once imported, double click the certificate in Keychain and in the Trust section change 'When using this certificate' to 'Always Trust'.

Start Lync back up, and you should be able to log in.

Office for mac download. That may be easiest over figuring out which file is which. That said, I took a quick look and didn't see anything promising. Also, the app support folder didn't seem to have what you're looking for either.EDIT and then I think I found it or probably where it may be:/Users/account/library/application support/preferences/com.microsoft.office.plistMaybe that's what you're looking for? I looked at the plist files in the app packages and didn't see it, but I didn't look that hard. It may be different than my plist, because I've got an enterprise/vlk version.
